"Andy Yohe was captain of the 2010 U.S. Paralympic Team that won the gold medal in Vancouver, and the players in our locker room have great respect for him," said Jeff Sauer, head coach of the 2014 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team. "As a coaching staff, we like that his return to Team USA brings a fresh sense of attitude and responsibility. Yohe took a hiatus from Team USA from 2010-2013.
Alternate captains Chace and Sweeney occupied the same positions during the 2012-13 season for the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team, helping to lead Team USA to a silver medal-showing at the 2013 IPC Ice Sledge World Championship in Goyang City, South Korea, and first-place finishes at both the 2012 World Sledge Hockey Challenge and 2013 USA Hockey Sled Cup.
